So, the last two weeks were supposed to be a very busy time with lots of pictures and posts!!! What happened, you say? The answer is - the cabinets were delayed.
Cabinets are called a "gating item" meaning work has to wait on their installation. We still don't have a firm date for the start of cabinet installation, but other work has started to happen again.
The pool is taking on even more definition with the installation of stone coping and tile.

And other good news is the arrival of a little rain. We even have some water in our pool. A very little water, but it is fun to see.

Can't go swimming yet!!!! |
The electricians returned to begin installation of switch plate covers, power outlet covers, and some of the lighting fixtures. The pictures may not be exciting visually, but we are excited to see the progress towards making a habitable home!!!

Our propane tank was delivered by Rocky Poteat of Two Rivers Propane located in New Braunfels, Texas. We were there to watch Rocky and his helper lift the 500 gallon tank off of the truck and skillfully place it in the ground. We will use propane for the water heaters, cook top, inside fireplace, and backup generator. Rocky estimates our propane usage will be very low requiring only yearly visits to top off the tank.

Cement will be poured at the bottom of the hole around the rebar to keep the tank in place. We are getting close to having all of the utility infrastructure complete. The septic field still needs to be created, we need to purchase and get the generator installed, and the rainwater processing system is yet to be put in place. But utility work is looking pretty good.
So, stay tuned and hopefully we will soon have more news to share!!!
