Day 50 - Dodging Donkeys

After a few days of inactivity, a new crew started on the next step in the framing process - putting up sheathing and moisture barriers.  But before we could get to the house to check out the action, we slowed down on the road to say hello to two of our Bridlewood furry friends, Benny and Bucky.  We thought you would enjoy these shots of "dodging donkeys" on the road!

These critters are really curious and smart enough to remember that sometimes they get handouts from car windows.  We finally had to put up the window since we close to having a new passenger in the car.

When we reached the house, we were excited to see the beginning of the sheathing wood being placed against the timbers.

When we came back a few hours later, the crew had started putting the Tyvek moisture barrier over the sheathing.

In addition to the sheathing and Tyvek,  the guys also started putting up fascia board.

The sheathing really makes a difference in how the rooms "feel" and "flow".  It was a lot of fun walking through the house with this different perspective.

Featured Flora of the Day
When we were walking around the house checking out the progress, we came upon these pretty little wildflowers......or are they weeds?  In any case, they are the featured flora of the day.
