Day 51 - Architectural Review

We invited our architect, Leslie Anderson, to drive over from San Antonio to check out the framing and to see the progress of house.  We worked with Leslie for over a year to get the house designed and it was great to see her.  Also, we appreciated her expert eye in giving a review of the framing.

We had a good time walking around in the windy, cold weather and discussing details of the plans.  Leslie gave us some great ideas for further things to consider in the house.

When we were saying goodbye to Leslie, an unfamiliar "official looking" car came up the drive.  It was the tax man!!!!!!  Seriously, it was Hector from the Hays County Appraisal District checking out our property for the tax roles.  Since we have an agricultural exemption for our entire acreage, we will need to change an acre into a developed status for Tax Year 2014.

The day was very blustery and the crew did a great job handling the big sheets of wood and Tyvec.  The structure is looking more and more like a regular house every day as added details like fascia board get added.

Master Bedroom - front

Master Bedroom Side - see how wind has torn Tyvec

Note the ladder - not a good day to climb!!

Garage and upstairs
We will be really busy with another project for a couple of days and will miss going out to check on the progress.  Can't wait to see the changes!!!!
