Activity continued apace at the build site today. More steel was laid on the foundation pads until the whole thing looked like a giant grid.
In addition to finishing the "rod busting" work, forms were set up for the indentations in the slab for showers and laundry spaces.

The crew also built a form for the curve of the kitchen banquette area window wall. This feature in the kitchen will be like a little "keeping room."
So, the work is going great on shaping up the foundation!!! The plumbers and electricians will be there tomorrow to place the plumbing and electrical items that need to be in the foundation. It is so exciting to see how this project gets put together step by step, piece by piece!!!
Furry Friend of the Day
Our furry friends so far have been residents at Bridlewood Ranches. Today I'd like to introduce friends from the apartment complex where we are living while the house is being built.
Last summer we began leaving out food for a feral cat scampering around the complex. Soon, we had other cats join in for the free grub. Skeeter came to us last November along with his/her Mother, Oreo. These two kitties are now waiting on our patio every morning for breakfast and like to come hang out and visit in the afternoon.
