Day 33 - Up Against the Wall

If you have never watched a framing crew do their jobs, you have missed a really cool operation.  These guys take a set of plans, stacks of wood, some nails, some tools, a lot of hard work, and voila, there is a structure!!!!  I am amazed at the amount of work our crew did today.

The coolest action was raising the back wall of the great room.  Here are some action shots of the sequence of events:

In addition to the very tall back wall, a lot of progress was made on other parts of the house.

The worksite was a wonderful gathering place today with neighbors and friends.  While the crew was taking a midday break, we visited on the slab with Keith and Casey, our builders, and 5 Bridlewood neighbors and 2 furry friends.  It was a beautiful day in all respects.

Furry Friend of the Day

Our furry friend of the day is a new addition to the Lazy C J Cattle company herd roaming Bridlewood pastures.  I spotted this little critter on my way out of the property.  It will be fun to watch it grow.
